My experience in SOW
I haven written for some time le. Just to share my SOW experiences for the past week. Compared to those in the Sci club committee who stayed back and some who din sleep and helped out for the rag all the way, i guess i am peanuts, relli.
I dun relli think i have played the role of a senior well, relli..u could say half of the time, half of my freshies were absent and esp for SP night, the attendance was terrible. And there was something lackin in the grp...seriously i think the freshies are relli great pple!! Yep but mayb becoz the seniors were not tat enthu, so mayb it spread to the freshies..ya my fault actually...i admit i din go for prep camp so half the time i was relli blur and din relli lead the group well...hence sometimes they are always quiet and sian...ya..and being a borin person tat i am,(I dunno those stupid qian bian questions and dai ki and all the card games la...)and then no sense of directions..basically all the negative pts of me..ha..and i am not good at talkin crap or crackin lame jokes...AND I was late most of the time lor..ha leavin the freshies locked out of their rooms.. ha...:P Even then they did not blame me but those moments when everyone was so quiet..and i was totally stuck..i din noe what to say..ya..it make me realise there's more to it to b a senior than just takin care of the freshies.
So I relli admire weitong and the rest of the commitee for their leadership skills, to b able to speak out truely and not just being enthu for the sake of actin.. I know that it will take ages b4 i can lead in front of a huge grp of freshies..
It was not totally sian moments, as we had fun too!! I gain a lot of experience from this SOW and came home from RAG DAy totally drained and sunburnt. Ha, Sci Fac won the Chancellor SHield-the overall winner of RAG and man we relli cheered our loudest that hot hot day. ANd i am relli proud of my OG grp. WE came in second place in Flag Day..haha so close to first place by a difference of 8g in weight. I relli appreciated and thank everyone who has put in effort. In a way Flag Day has make us closer together and we are going for our OG outing to SWensen haha! the prize was $90 vouncher!!YEAH!
ON our last night of stayover, there was an appreciation to seniors and one by one we seniors were called down to recieve our "certificates" and roses. Yep and by tat time i was dreadin it totally...becoz i knew our grp was not relli united as compared to the rest..but they cheered for me when i went on stage to receive the prize from ryan(vice director). I was relli touched so much so that i was going to cry.
So today it relli make me glad and relieved to see that my og grp stayed together when i met them in sch. Yep, at least they kept in contact and although i was still stranger to some of them( i still feel tat way), I am relli glad that we had become more than just acquitances..
I am takin 4 CM modules this sem, 2 level 1000 and 2 level 2000. Yes i know it will b very xiong, with 2 labs to do per week and not forgettin my theory exam in Oct. ANd there'sno webcast at all this sem, OMG!! I have a five day week and it's relli 1 whole day in sch lol!
WELL, tmr's National DAY. so it's time for celebration!!! Happi 40 birthday SIngapore!
